Mending my husband’s favorite T-shirt

The New York Yankees T-shirt that my husband has often worn since around the time I met him 11 years ago. It has the name of his favorite player on it.

The fraying around the neck is severe, and there are three holes under the armpits.

As for the holes under the arms, I patch them from the inside using khaki cotton fabric, then stitch around the edges from the front with small stitches.

When I don't want to throw something away, try mending it. Taking care of things brings so much joy.

Romeo is a unique cat. He is a 15-year-old hairless Sphynx. He is deeply interested in others and always watches what we are doing, as if he's lost in thought.
